THE MALAYSIA SME CUP 2026 Your company's greatest team-building day. A one-day corporate football festival by Metahub × MALAYSIA SME® Media Group — your whole company, one badge, one goal, and a gala night to follow. The signature rule: every squad fields its business owner or a director — as a player, or as registered team manager. When the boss laces up beside the team, walls come down — team building no boardroom retreat can match. KEY FACTS # Date: Saturday, 14 November 2026 · 8:00am kick-off, trophies by 2:00pm # Venue: Footballhub SkyArena, Genting Permai — highland air, ~27°C all morning # Format: 7-a-side · 4 groups of 6 · 12-minute matches · group champions → semi-finals → final # Guaranteed football: 5 group matches for every team — nobody travels up for one game # Squad: 10–12 players · owner/director + your staff · up to 3 non-employee guest players # Entry: RM2,990 per company · registration closes Tuesday 6 October 2026 WHAT YOUR RM2,990 INCLUDES # Custom company team jersey — your company's own kit on the tournament template, every player # 2× pre-tournament coaching — 1 classroom session at your office + 1 field session at any Footballhub centre # Player lunch, isotonic and water all day # Professional photography & video of your team — cleared for your own use # Your company page, fixtures and live standings on events.metahub.my YOUR DAY 8:00am group stage (5 matches, booths & networking between games) → 12:15pm semi-finals → 1:00pm the final → 1:30pm awards — wrapped by 2pm. Gala night follows on a dedicated evening in early December: trophies re-toasted, the tournament film premiered, and the SME Business League Season One line-up announced. BEYOND THE CUP All 24 teams are ranked on a live League Qualification Table. The top 10 earn priority invitations to the SME Business League — Season One. COACHING SESSIONS — HOW IT WORKS Book both sessions via events.metahub.my after your registration is confirmed. Sessions must be used before 14 November (no carry-over). Classroom sessions within the Klang Valley; teams outside the area may opt for a session at a Footballhub centre or virtual delivery. Subject to slot availability — book early. ELIGIBILITY & FAIR PLAY Squads of 10–12: your owner/director (playing, or as registered manager) plus employees of your company, with up to 3 non-employee guest players. All players 18+. Full rules & regulations are published on the event page. REGISTRATION & PAYMENT Register at events.metahub.my — online payment by card, GrabPay or Atome instalments. Jersey sizes are collected at registration; kit production begins after 6 October, so late entries risk a generic kit. ENTRY FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE ONCE PAID IN FULL — kit production, coaching and event costs begin at registration. A paid entry may be transferred to another company up to 6 October. What happens if it rains?›

We play through light rain. If the weather turns unsafe — heavy rain, lightning or a waterlogged pitch — matches may be paused, shortened or moved to another time; safety always comes first. If a session is called off we'll message your team through your private team link with what happens next, and a weather rescheduling never costs you extra.

Can we get a refund if our team withdraws?›

Before your registration is confirmed and paid, you can cancel for a full refund. Once it's confirmed and paid, the registration fee is non-refundable if your team withdraws or doesn't show up — except where we cancel the event (you get a full refund) or in a genuine exceptional circumstance (reviewed case by case).

How many players do we need?›

Squad sizes depend on your age group and the match format (for example 7-a-side or 9-a-side). We'll confirm the exact minimum and maximum for your category — including how many substitutes you can name — on your team page and in your team pack before match day, so you can plan your roster.

Do we need to prove a player's age?›

Yes. Each player's age group is set by their date of birth when you add them to your squad, and we may ask to see proof — an IC, passport or birth certificate — on match day. A player who can't show valid proof of age when asked may not be allowed to play in that age group, so every team competes fairly.
